Pacific Spirit Choir

We are a community choir hosted at West Vancouver United Church on Vancouver’s North Shore in British Columbia. Our mission is to create community and enrich the lives of our audiences and members, at home and abroad, through meticulously prepared, passionate performances of great choral works.   Our repertoire ranges from large oratorios and Masses of composers from the 17th to the 21st century, to shorter choral gems, ancient to modern, classical to jazz, serious to humourous.   

Touring is a also a major focus of our group: we have completed three tours to Europe in the past six years.  We toured the Okanagan in May 2011, and we will be touring Europe (Holland, Belgium and France) in May 2012.

You are most welcome to join our community!  This season, apart from preparing music for our tour, we feature two major works; Handel’s Messiah at Christmas and Mozart’s Requiem at Easter. We are starting rehearsals on Wednesday, September 7, 2011.   To learn more click Join our Choir

Our Music Director

Our Music Director, Gerald van Wyck, is a noted educator and popular choral adjudicator across Canada.  He is committed to making each rehearsal and performance an intensely musical, joyful, and community-building experience.
