The Pacific Spirit Choir is a community choir hosted at West Vancouver United Church, on Vancouver’s North Shore in British Columbia. Our mission is to create community and enrich the lives of our audiences and members, at home and abroad, through meticulously prepared, passionate performances of great choral works.

Our repertoire ranges from large oratorios and Masses of composers from the 17th to the 21st century, as well as shorter choral gems, ancient and modern. This year we are presenting four different concert programmes, two accompanied by professional orchestra, a Christmas programme with the incredible West Vancouver Youth Band, and a lighter concert featuring musical and opera choruses and solos.

Touring is a also a major focus of our group: we have completed three tours to Europe in the past six years; plans are already under way for a fourth tour in the spring of 2012.

Our Music Director, Gerald van Wyck, is a noted educator and popular choral adjudicator across Canada: he is committed to making each rehearsal and performance an intensely musical, joyful, and comuunity-building experience.

You are most welcome to join our community!

Our next concert: Bach St. John Passion, with the Pacific Baroque Orchestra, and John Bacon, tenor. Join us for an intimate, exciting performance of this choral/orchestral gem. Friday, April 02, 2010 at 7:30 pm, at West Vancouver United Church.
